The Dr. B Approach: Your Perimenopause Toolkit
What the heck is going on?
Pre-menopause, perimenopause, menopause, post-menopause—this transition isn’t just one moment in time. It’s a process that unravels for 10+ years, bringing changes to hormones, brain function, and body systems. You’re not imagining things—there’s a lot happening!
But you don’t have to do this alone. That’s where your perimenopause toolkit comes in—because you deserve expert guidance, real solutions, and the support to feel like yourself again.
How It Works:
Your Path to Feeling Better
Important Note: To work with me, you must live in one of the states where I’m licensed: Florida, Texas, or Indiana.
Navigating perimenopause can feel overwhelming, but I’ve made it simple. My approach blends medical expertise, therapy, and lifestyle medicine to help you regain control of your brain, body, and life. Here’s how we’ll work together:
Free 15-Minute Call – A no-pressure chat to see if we’re a good fit.
Comprehensive Intake (60-90 min, $450) – A deep dive into your symptoms, history, and goals.
Personalized Plan – Whether it’s hormone therapy, non-hormonal meds, lifestyle shifts, or therapy, we’ll tailor a strategy just for you.
Follow-Ups (15 min, $150 | 30 min, $300 | 60 min, $600) – Ongoing support, adjustments, and therapy to ensure you keep progressing. This is not just one and done! I’m here to help you throughout the whole transition.
I offer virtual appointments on weekdays and evenings, making care accessible and convenient. Walk-and-talk phone sessions are also an option!

You’re in the right place if:
You feel like your brain and body aren’t cooperating the way they used to.
You’ve been told “it’s just stress” but you know something deeper is going on.
You want a one-stop shop for expert guidance instead of bouncing between different providers without clear answers.
You believe it’s typical but NOT normal to suffer through perimenopause and you’re ready for solutions.
You deserve care that truly sees you—compassionate, expert support that prioritizes your whole health, not just your symptoms.
What Kind of Results Can You Expect?
While every woman’s trip through the menopause transition is different, here’s what my patients typically experience:
Clearer thinking + reduced brain fog
Fewer mood swings + less anxiety
More consistent, restful sleep
Fewer (or no!) hot flashes and night sweats
More energy + motivation to take on life
A stronger, more resilient version of you
This isn’t about a quick fix—it’s about lasting improvements that set you up for long-term health and well-being.
Medications + Hormone Therapy: Finding What Works
Perimenopause treatment doesn’t just mean hormones! There are many medication options that can help with symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety, brain fog, and insomnia. My approach is to use the least amount of medication necessary to get meaningful results.
For some, that means hormone therapy, which has significant long-term benefits like reducing the risk of osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. But hormones aren’t magic, and they’re not always the best fit. We’ll have thoughtful discussions about your medical history, risks, and benefits before making any decisions.
And if you need additional medical input, I’ll help guide you to the right specialists.
Therapy:
More Than Just Talking
Therapy is integrated into every session because it provides lasting results. I offer:
CBTi (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) to help you get consistent, restorative sleep.
Positive Psychiatry to build your strengths and help you thrive.
Supportive Therapy to guide you through the tough stuff with practical solutions.
Insight-Oriented Therapy to help you understand yourself better and make meaningful changes.
We’ll start with your specific concerns and goals, making actionable changes and adjusting as needed. This isn’t a rigid, cookie-cutter program—it’s a flexible, supportive approach to help you become the best version of yourself.
Lifestyle Mental Wellness: The Foundation of Feeling Better
Food as Medicine: Nourish Your Brain and Body
I've had specialized training in the power of nutrition, and I firmly believe that what you eat plays a major role in how you feel. By making intentional choices with your diet, you can improve mood, energy, and overall health. Small, strategic changes can have a big impact, reducing the need for medications and helping you thrive through perimenopause.
When you get quality sleep, you feel more rested and energized.
Regular movement keeps you strong, burns off stress hormones, and supports mental health.
Eating balanced, nutritious meals (embracing food as medicine!) helps stabilize mood and energy.
These changes alone can significantly reduce the need for medications.
