About Dr. B

You’re not crazy. You’re not just “getting older.” And you definitely deserve better answers.

I’m Dr. Jessica Beachkofsky (but most people call me Dr. B), a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience—and I get it because I’ve been there too.

Like so many women I treat, I started experiencing symptoms that no one warned me about. When I looked for answers, I got the same dismissive runaround: “It’s just part of aging. Hang in there.” Even as a physician, I had to fight for real solutions—so I knew other women had to be struggling too.

And that’s why I started this clinic.

Women in perimenopause are often misdiagnosed, over-medicated, or ignored completely—and that has to stop.

This isn’t a quick-fix hormone clinic or a revolving door of referrals. Here’s what you can expect:

I treat all of you. Mood swings, brain fog, anxiety, and sleep struggles aren’t just “in your head”—they’re part of a bigger hormonal shift. We’ll work on your mental health, physical health, and relationships as a whole.

No unnecessary tests or endless specialists. You won’t get shuffled around to a dozen doctors for separate symptoms when the root issue is perimenopause.

Science over social media. You deserve information that’s based on actual research—not outdated medical myths, influencer opinions, or a 10-minute check-up. I give you real answers so you can make aligned, informed choices.

I blend evidence-based medicine, lifestyle strategies, and personalized care to help you feel like yourself again. Whether it’s adjusting sleep, balancing hormones, or finding the right medications, we create a plan that fits your needs—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

One more thing

If you take one step today, make it this:

start talking about perimenopause.

Talk to the women in your life; family, friends, co-workers. Ask questions. Support each other.

Be the role model you wish you had—because every woman who makes it to 60 will go through this. And while it’s normal, you don’t have to suffer through it alone.

I’m here to help. Let’s get started.

A Little More About Dr. B

Beyond my medical degree, I have specialized training in reproductive psychiatry, insomnia treatment, and nutritional psychiatry—because perimenopause symptoms don’t just show up in one way. I also educate other mental health professionals, supervise nurse practitioners in multiple states, and speak about mental health topics at conferences.

When I’m not helping women reclaim their energy and confidence, you’ll find me paddleboarding, camping, sewing holiday decorations, or yelling “Go Bolts!” at Lightning hockey games. Fun fact: before medicine, I was a sculpture major in college, and I spent 12 years in the military, including as a medical director for an inpatient mental health unit. (Military green wasn’t really my color)
