perimenopause woman hot flashes fatigue anxiety

Exhausted, foggy, and not feeling like yourself?

You’re not imagining it. Your brain feels scattered, your emotions feel unpredictable, and your body is shifting in ways no one warned you about.

Hormonal changes can turn everything upside down, but that doesn’t mean you have to just “push through.”

It’s time for answers, not another brush-off.

With the right support, you can take back control, feel steady again, and finally start feeling like YOU.

Ready to get answers, relief, and a real plan?

I help women in perimenopause feel less stressed, less dismissed, and more like themselves with therapy, medications, and hormone treatments; backed by science but delivered with empathy, humor, and a deep understanding of what you’re going through.

Currently accepting patients in Florida, Texas, and Indiana. I don’t take insurance, but that means I get to focus on you, not their rules. Many patients get reimbursed for out-of-network care and I’ll provide a superbill to make it easier.

Meet Dr. Beachkofsky, a perimenopause and women’s mental health specialist!

This is NOT your mom’s menopause.

Menopause doesn’t hit like a light switch. It’s a transition, and right now, you’re in it.

This is perimenopause: the phase before menopause that can last for years. It’s expected, it’s common, but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer through it alone.

Not sure if you’re even in perimenopause? If you’re between 35 and 50, there’s a good chance you’re already experiencing it, even if no one warned you.

And here’s the thing: Menopause is coming next. Don’t get blindsided. The more you understand now, the more control you’ll have over what’s ahead.

You deserve to understand what’s happening, get real solutions, and feel confident in your body again.

Does this sound like you?

perimenopause woman, hot flash, brain fog, exhausted, anxious

Exhaustion no matter how much sleep you get
Brain fog that makes work and life feel harder than it should
Mood swings that leave you feeling snappy, emotional, or just… off
Nights spent tossing and turning, and days spent running on fumes
Weight gain, body changes, and suddenly aging overnight

These changes can feel isolating, frustrating, and confusing. But here’s the truth:

They’re typical but they’re not something you have to just “deal with.”

With the right support, you can calm the chaos, get your energy back, and start feeling like yourself again.

Tired of being dismissed? Let’s talk about that.

You know something is off. You feel it every single day. But when you try to talk about it? You get shrugged off, minimized, or straight-up gaslit.

Maybe you’ve heard things like:

  • “It’s all in your head.”

  • “All women go through this. It’s just normal.”

Let me be clear: No. More.

What you’re experiencing is real. And it’s not “just stress,” it’s not “just getting older,” and it’s not “just how it is.”

This isn’t about fighting aging—it’s about understanding what your body is doing, so you can work with it, not against it.

✔ We’ll look at the full picture: hormones, mental health, lifestyle, stress, and how they all interact.
✔ We’ll create a plan that works for YOU! Not a one-size-fits-all approach.
✔ And most importantly? You’ll finally feel heard, understood, and supported.

Hi, I’m Dr. B!

I’m tired of women being ignored, dismissed, and left to struggle alone through perimenopause. We deserve better.

In medical school, women’s hormonal changes were barely discussed beyond puberty and pregnancy. And in my psychiatry residency? Perimenopause wasn’t even mentioned.

So, like many of my patients, I was left piecing together information, searching for answers, and wondering why this stage of life feels so damn hard.

Now, I know what perimenopause feels like, too.

I’m navigating the same frustrating symptoms and dealing with a medical system that often brushes off women’s concerns as “just getting older.” And I refuse to accept that.

You deserve care that actually works, without seeing five different doctors to get it.

That’s why I take a one-stop, whole-person approach—integrating therapy, medications, hormone treatments, and lifestyle strategies so you can get real solutions, all in one place.

Here’s what I believe:

✔ Your symptoms are real, valid, and worth treating.
✔ Perimenopause is typical, but struggling through it shouldn’t be the norm.
✔ Care should be backed by science but tailored to YOU.
✔ This process doesn’t have to feel so isolating or overwhelming.

With me, you’ll get straight answers, practical advice, and a doctor who truly understands.

We’ll take on perimenopause together so you can find relief, take back control, and finally feel like yourself again.

Dr. Jessica Beachkofsky perimenopause psychiatrist

Working with me is different.

This isn’t your typical medical experience.

I’m a psychiatrist and a therapist, which means I don’t just hand you a prescription and send you out the door in 10 minutes. Instead, I take the time to truly understand what’s happening, emotionally, mentally, and physically, because perimenopause affects it all.

There’s no universal fix for this. But with my in-depth knowledge of the brain and hormones, I’ll help you connect the dots between your symptoms and what’s really going on inside your body.

The truth? Lab tests don’t always tell the full story. But listening to your symptoms, your experiences, and your gut? That’s where the real answers are.

And I know that what you put in your body matters. Whether it’s medication, hormones, supplements, or even food, every decision should feel right for YOU. That’s why we’ll walk through every option together—so you can feel informed, confident, and in control.

What You’ll Get from Our Work Together

Finally understand what’s happening to you.

Instead of feeling lost in the fog, imagine being able to say:

This isn’t just in my head. Here’s what’s actually going on with my body.”

That kind of clarity? It’s powerful.

But it’s not just about biology. Perimenopause impacts more than your body; it affects your identity, confidence, and relationships. That’s why we’ll work through both the physical and emotional weight of this transition.

Together we’ll work through feelings like:

  • Guilt over snapping at your kids or partner when you’re overwhelmed

  • Fear that you’ve lost the energetic, strong woman you used to be.

  • Sadness over feeling sexually disconnected from your body and your partner.

  • Shock at how quickly your body feels OLD; your skin, your hair, your belly… everything seems different.

These feelings? They’re real. They’re valid. And they deserve space to be understood and worked through.

Still Unsure? Let’s Talk.

It’s normal to have questions before taking the next step. Here’s what I hear most often:

"What if this is just another dead end?"

I get it—feeling brushed off is exhausting. But here? It’s different. No fluff. No generic advice. Just science-backed solutions, real conversations, and a plan that actually works.

"I don’t have time for one more thing."

Taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel like another job. Even small, simple steps can help you feel stronger, sharper, and more in control.

"Is what I’m feeling even ‘big enough’ to fix?"

If it’s affecting your life, it’s worth addressing. Perimenopause symptoms may be “typical,” but that doesn’t mean you have to suffer through them.

"I’m worried this will be just another expense."

Your health is an investment, not a luxury. And your first call is completely free—no pressure, just answers.

FAQs

What happens in a free consultation?

It’s a casual video or phone call where I’ll get a sense of what’s going on and give you a quick idea of how I can help—whether that’s with medication, hormones, or lifestyle changes. You can also ask me anything! No pressure, just clarity.

How does working with you actually work?

We start with a virtual 60-90 minute deep dive into your mental health, medical, and reproductive history. Then, I’ll break down what’s going on and lay out options—you decide what feels right.

After that, we meet virtually every 2 weeks to 3 months, depending on your needs and schedule. Therapy is built into our conversations (even if it doesn’t feel like we’re “doing therapy”) because your emotional and physical health are connected.

I don’t have time for one more thing. How much of a commitment is this?

Some solutions work quickly (like meds for hot flashes or anxiety), while others take 1-3 months (like hormones or antidepressants).

Even if we only meet 3 hours a year, the impact can completely change your life. Few other appointments can do that!

What if I schedule a call and decide it’s not the right fit?

That’s totally okay. This is about finding the best fit, not forcing something that doesn’t feel right. If I’m not the right person, I’ll point you to other resources.

What if I don’t know whether I need medication, hormones, or lifestyle changes?

That’s exactly what we’ll figure out together. We’ll look at:
Your symptoms—what’s affecting your daily life the most?
Your comfort level—how do you feel about meds, hormones, or holistic options?
Your goals—what changes do you actually want to make?

From there, I’ll give you tailored options so you can make an informed, aligned decision.

How is this different from seeing my regular doctor or OB-GYN?

Because I’m a psychiatrist, I focus on your brain and emotions, not just lab results. Your mental health, relationships, and personal goals all matter here.

While I can’t do in-person exams, I’ll help you understand what’s happening, what questions to ask your GYN or primary doctor, and how to make sense of their recommendations. This isn’t just about fixing symptoms—it’s about getting your life back.

Do you take insurance?

I’m not currently in-network with insurance, but I provide a superbill you can submit for partial reimbursement. Check out my quick guide to the process!

Because I don’t have to follow strict insurance rules, I can spend more time with you and offer whole-person care—not just quick prescriptions.

I believe in being transparent about the overall investment in your treatment. Find out more about my rates with my No Surprises Act.
